WordPress app can not upload my posts anymore

  1. Hi everyone,
I have been using my android WordPress app to upload posts to my site, but lately, it can not upload anymore. I just keep getting this response
“There was an error uploading this post…”
Someone please help me resolve the issue.

  2. I do have same problem. When I've tried to do it with Jetpack plugin installed, I was getting error "failed to upload" but in reality it was sending the post but not one, not two copies but 100+ copies. I've uninstalled the Jetpack and right now can not write post from my mobile phone.
    Is somebody has the solution?

  3. i do have same problem. But new page upload correct . News don't work . this only for application in my smartphone

  4. Hi there!

Thank you all for reaching out about this issue and apologies for any delays in following up.

It would be helpful if you could reach out to us through the app by going to Me > Help & Support > Contact us. This way we'll get more details on each of your sites and some logs to try to understand why this isn't working.

There can normally be a number of issues why posts fail to upload depending on how the site is connected to the app. Some of the most common issues are related to a break in the internet connection used to upload, a change in the authentication credentials used to connect the site to the app, or if the host has some blocks in the place on the server based on how the app is connected.

The issue mentioned with the Jetpack plugin @aborisov seems very odd. It's not something that we have heard before so I'd like to understand more how you're noticing this and what steps you take to publish the post. Can you share these with us?

To try and narrow these downs these issues, we need to see the site address that is having difficulty and understand how it is connected to the app.

Feel free to reach out through the app or reply here with more details and I'll be able to take a look.

    Thank you!

  5. Hello!

The issue mentioned with the Jetpack plugin @aborisov seems very odd. It's not something that we have heard before so I'd like to understand more how you're noticing this and what steps you take to publish the post. Can you share these with us?

When I was writing the post and got 100+ copies of it, all I can say and maybe it was the reason why it happened, I was logged in as the user who has administrator rights on my wordpress website. Yesterday I've reinstalled the app. Deleted and installed again. After I did it I couldn't log in without Jetpack plugin. When I was trying to log in without Jetpack, I was getting the error about XMLRPC. Checked everything about it. My XMLRPC not disabled. I do not know how real test about XMLRPC with this tool I've found https://xmlrpc.eritreo.it/ but after I've tested it it says everything is ok. I could not log in anyway. I was able to do it only after I've installed the Jetpack plugin. Have not tested it after I've reinstalled everything. Will let you know after I'll try to post with wordpress app again. Writing from desktop computer working just fine.

I would be happy if somebody will tell me what I did wrong.

  6. @aborisov If you would like to share the URL for your site, I can take a look at what is happening with your XMLRPC file. It may also be something on your hosting side or a plugin, but it's difficult to know without the site address.

I realize you're now connecting through Jetpack, but it would be good to see why this might be happening.

    Thank you!

  7. Hi there!

Thanks for sharing the URL to your site.

It looks like the xmlrpc file on your site is working correctly when accessed in the browser at https://www.a-borisov.com//xmlrpc.php, but when we try to connect to it over cURL running the following command,

    curl -is -H 'Content-Type: text/xml' --data '<?xml version="1.0"?><methodCall><methodName>demo.sayHello</methodName><params></params></methodCall>' 'https://www.a-borisov.com//xmlrpc.php' && echo

    It's returning an incorrect response.

You'll want to reach out to your hosting provider and make sure that XMLRPC is available both in the browser and over cURL for it to function correctly in the app.

Jetpack is most likely able to bypass this error as it connects to your site differently, but if you're still having issues using the app you'll want to get this addressed with your host first.

    Thank you!
