Comment and notification problems

  1. Hello,

    I have the problem that on my wordpress app I can't comment other post and my notifications don't actualise. I got a respond on a comment posted via Chrome because the app didn't work but not a notification while they are activated.

    I searched everywhere if something was wrong in the settings but couldn't find anything.

    Can you help?

    I have a few questions for you:

    * Do you see an error when you try to comment? If yes, would you mind sharing it here?
    * Can you share your site address?
    * Is your site connected to the app via Jetpack or just through the site address?
    * Do you have any plugins installed on your site that manage comments in any way? If yes, have you tried disabling those, refreshing your comment list, and trying again?
    * Can you confirm if the WordPress app is running the latest version on your Android?

    - When I write and send the comment there is a loading wheel, and than a message (I'm frenchspeaking and my app is in french, but it says aproximatly): sorry we could not deliver your comment.
    - Here is my adress: ;
    - My app is connected through my mail adresse/facebook acount that's linked with my site.
    - I don't think I have any plugins installed, of if so, I don't know about them
    - My app was downloaded a few days ago, and I deletedt/downloaded again today - my androïd version is 8.1

    Could you let us know if this happens when you try to visit another site and comment there? Or does it happen if you try to comment on a post via Reader?

    If possible, would you mind sharing a few steps that could help us reproduce the issue?

    No problem!

    This happens when I try to comment on a post via reader. I din't try getting on the site via the app. But I tried to visit the site on the internet browser and could comment than.
    --> I tried this morning, after seing your message and strangely it works on the app to: when I try to comment via the internet site it works, but not in the comment section when I go throught reader.

    For the stages:

    I go on my app, on "reader" - in the section of new articles from the people that I am following -; I go on an article and on the comments section. At the bottom of the screen I push on the new comment space and post via the arrow on the right.

    --> the other day (thuesday) I tried again to comment and it worked but it didn't work again the next day.

    Can you share with us the URL of the site and the article you tried to comment on? If you prefer to keep it private, you can also open a request with us from the app directly by going to ME > Help & Support > Contact Us. From there, share a link to this topic and we can troubleshoot this further!

    Sorry for the late answer I made some tests because it worked just fine suddenly! I could comment and got notifications !

    But today the problem came again on "" - I tried to comment a new article and the comment didn't get posted. Same for another article and this blog. Later I tried to comment in another blog and it worked.

    Is it possible that the problem comes from this blog? If yes, how come I couldn't comment at all on any blog at the beginning?

    At least now it works a lot more better so in case you have done something big thanks to you!!!

    Are you also having issues commenting on other sites via Mobile app? Are you doing this through the reader? Could you please confirm the version of the mobile app you are using?
