my web host blocks access to the XMLRPC.php file for "security reasons"
they suggest changing the name of this php file to something else and accessing that but in the Android app there is no way of referencing this new file as it goes to XMLRPC.php by default

would it be possible to have an option of specifying an alternatively named XMLRPC.php file to access

could you please install and configure this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/rename-xml-rpc/ ?
It should solve the issue.
