Reposting in the android forum:

Using WP 3.0.3, PHP 4.4.7, MySQL 4.1.22, WordPress for Android 1.3.8, self hosted. Blog address: http://www.sarcasmblog.net .

I'm getting an error when using WordPress for Android. I've tried another droid client with the same error and I've tried a windows program that also received an error. As a result I know the issue is not with the droid app but the server configuration. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled WP but I'm getting the same error. Remote publishing is enabled.

Error is Connection Error: org.xmlpull.v1.XmlPullParserException: expected: START_TAG {null}methodResponse (position:START_TAG (empty)
@1:6 in java.io.InputStreamReader@3185af30)

No plugins are installed. I can go to http://www.sarcasmblog.net/xmlrpc.php?rsd and get a proper response (no leading spaces, no html).

Please advise.

Have you tried entering enterprise.sarcasmblog.net as the url in the app?

Actually I gave up and started moving it to enterprise - the new host which is working. I never could figure out the problem with the other host.

Sometimes hosts specifically block xml-rpc.
