Upload Images to Gallery
-
Can you add the ability to switch between uploading inline pictures and uploading images to the built-in gallery function?
Similarly, would it be possible to add image captions from within the app?
Right now, when I upload a post with images, I have to go back later with a PC and add captions to my photos and change them from inline photos to a thumbnail gallery. I would prefer to manage the site entirely with my phone.

This sounds just like what I would like it to do.
Maybe with a update to WordPress they will fix it so you can upload a image or video with your cell phone.

Looked like I found what you are looking for to do. It will not post a Link in here to a post.
Just look at a post I did and you should see it.
It's mostly have to set up things in the settings menu on the cell phone.

Anyond figure out how to do this? I, too, am looking for a simple way to add photos to a gallery from my Android phone.

This is what I'm doing now, it isn't elegant, but it works.
Under the wordpress options on Android:
Change "Maximum thumbnail pixel width" to "Original Size"
Then, uncheck "Upload and link to full image"This makes it so that you are only uploading one image, rather than the image and the thumbnail, which causes trouble later.
Then, I make my blog post as usual, and attach images as usual.
Next, under post settings, I select "Draft" rather than "Publish", and hit "Upload Now"
The post is then uploaded to your website.
Next I tap on the post, and select "Edit Post"
When your text comes up, you need to delete the code that inserts images into the post, it should start with
<img style=blah blah blahAnyway, delete all of that.
Finally, add a gallery tag to your post after the closing paragraph tag. The gallery tag is the word gallery with a square bracket on either side. It should look like this:
</P>[gallery] -
Thanks for the tip @MatthewDS, I've created a ticket so that we can add a gallery directly from the app when creating the post:

MatthewDS, that helps! Thanks so very much!
This works well, and I guess is the only solution now. In fact, you can have a single post and keep adding photos, and then just change the post date to be the most recent. That way, all my mobile uploaded photos will be on the first page easily visible.
Is there a way to select the order within this gallery? So far, if you add pics to an existing post gallery, it adds them to the back. I wonder if you could modify it to add it to the front, instead.
