Touching "Posts" tab crashes app, Force close, every time, Droid Pro
-
The app worked for a day or two and I was able to post from it. Now every time I touch the "Posts" tab I get,
"Sorry! The application Wordpress (process org.wordpress.android) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. - Force close - Report"
I have tried a battery pull, removing and re-adding my blog, and uninstalling and re-downloading the app. It just does not work. The comments, pages, and stats tabs work and cause no error. I am totally stuck. I cannot post.
I am using version 1.3.8 on my Android Pro running Android version 2.2
I would very much appreciate help. I just moved this blog from tumblr to Wordpress but only because I could post from my phone, just like with tumblr apps. SInce I see no other Wordpress apps I am shut down.
Thank you ahead of time

Yuck, let's get it sorted out. Did you send in a crash report? Also, have you enabled any plugins lately?
Here's a potential workaround until we get it fixed - go to the gallery and use the 'share' action to send a picture to WordPress which should start a new post. You can then delete the picture and (hopefully) upload a new post.

Hello mrroundhill,
Thank you very much for your reply. That workaround idea starting in the gallery is exactly what I needed. What a relief. Since I usually am posting photos from my phone that will work for now. It does get me in.
As for the problem... I have two Wordpress blogs, both registered on my Droid Pro in the Wordpress app. The older blog works fine. The other one is a brand install and it worked fine too until I imported all of the posts from my tumblr blog into Wordpress. I used Tumblr2WordPress: http://haochen.me/tumblr/ to create an XML file which I then imported to Wordpress. The transfer worked and the blog functions just fine. That could be what caused the Wordpress app to stop working. I changed nothing else. I had at the time the crashes started activated no plugins in Wordpress. I hope this helps you figure out what happened. Let me know if you need any more information
Thanks a ton again for pointing out the workaround.

@Steve - Are there any special characters in any of your recent post titles? I'm wondering if that's what is causing the crash.

The problem has gone away. I do not know why. I just kept adding new posts until the app stopped having the error. Thank you for your responses.
