The app crashes while loading

   Hello,
   First thanks for the great app. It looks great in the video, and I hope I'll be able to get it working.

   I have a self-hosted Wordpress blog (the blog is in Hebrew). It has Wordpress 2.9.2 installed. My phone is HTC Hero, running Android 1.6 with HTC Sense UI. I'm using the latest version of Wordpress for Android.

   I tried reinstalling the app but the problem still happen. I set up my blog, but then the app tries to load the comments. After a few moments the loading animation is running, it force closes. What can I do?

   Hi there,
   There's a known issue with the comments area crashing if you have a single quote ' in your password. It's a bug in the WP core that is going to be rolled out with WordPress version 2.9.3

   I'm hoping this is your reason why you get a crash. If not, let's explore further!

   I didn't have a single quote, but I did have a @. I removed it. Still the same.

   The thing is what I described before worked only when I set up the blog. After that I start the app again, press my blog and it immediately force close.

   If you can, try creating a different user on the blog and use those credentials for connecting.

   I tried that and it didn't work. Same issue again. I also tried to set a wordpress.com blog with the same result.

   I hope you didn't run out of ideas, my friend. I do appreciate your kind help. :)

   I have more ideas :) Did you try changing the password to something really basic temporarily? There may be another character that isn't working that we don't know about.

   I used only capital and regular English letters. I also tried to restore my phone to factory settings. That didn't work either.

    Hmm, ok. I think the only thing left is to debug using your site. Would you mind creating an account on your blog as an editor? You can use android at automattic dot com as the email.

    We promise not to post/change anything :D

    It's very strange that WordPress.com didn't work for you, however.
