Stats on Version 1.3
-
I was ecstatic to see that stats had been brought to the Andorid App, but I'm having problems getting them to work. When I went to the stats tab, I was asked to enter my Wordpress.com username and password. I did so, but after a few seconds of loading time I was prompted to enter the info again. I am not given an error, just repeatedly asked to enter my info. Any thoughts?

Do you have a WordPress.com blog, or are you using a self hosted blog with the WordPress.com stats plugin?
-
I'm using a self-hosted blog with the plugin.

Getting similar issue - just updated to 1.3 on my 2.0.1 Droid, running 2.9.2 self-hosted blog. After about 20s when I go to stats tab it asks for my WordPress.com login credentials, but I don't think I have a WordPress.com account to log into anyway.
Does this new feature in 1.3 require a Wordpress.com account for some reason?
-
Yes. You have to have a wordpress.com account to use the WordPress Stats plugin on a hosted wordpress blog.
-
Ah, thanks. Well, not going to worry about it then, don't get enough traffic to worry about stats :)
-
I have the plugin installed and everything works just fine on the computer side, but I'm still not having any luck with the app. Is anyone else having this problem even though they have a wordpress.com account and the plugin installed?

We've found a bug related to those using stats with the WordPress.com plugin. Stand by and we'll get a fix out soon!

I only see the old stats from my wordpress.com blog, I can't get the stats from my new wordpress.org site to show up on the android app.
-
I'm using 1.3.9 and I still don't see the wordpress.com stats.
I've a self-hosted site and I use the stats plug-in.
Has anyone found a way around this?

Hey all, some users have had success using the new JetPack plugin which has stats included:
Give that a go!
-
I've been using JetPack for weeks, the stats still don't work on my Android phone.
-
Bummer, do you get an error message or anything?
-
No I just get a message saying it can't find any stats - which is clearly wrong.
-
@billbennett - you might want to try creating a new wp.com login and re-connect stats to see if that kicks it into gear.
-
If I get a new wp.com login I'll lose the historical data.
I can (just about) read the stats if I access the dashboard directly through the phone's browser. This seems better than losing the data.

The stats used to work with old WordPress.com Stats plugin for WP self hosted. If you install Jetpack over it, it continue working.
But, if in a new blog, you install Jetpack and configure Stats in it, then, don’t work in Android App.
