Post added successfully, but an error was encountered when uploading media:

My Wordpress installation is updated to 3.1.2. I'm running the Kubrick theme with some changes to the header. The only plugins I'm running are Akismet and WP-Stats, both of which are at the latest versions. My Wordpress for Android is v1.4.1.

I've tried several solutions from Google results for this forum including editing .htaccess, editing xmlprc.php, chmodding the uploads folder to 777, verifying the upload folder in settings, checking for the extra / some people have, changing back to the default upload folder (also 777ed) and reinstalling the app several times.

  2. Could you please check the memory limit of your hosting provider?
Because upload limits can vary greatly from host to host and blog to blog, we wanted to make sure to give you our recommended settings for WordPress.org users. If you're running WordPress 2.9.2 or later please be sure to add the following lines to your root .htaccess file:

    php_value memory_limit 128M
    php_value upload_max_filesize 128M
    php_value post_max_size 128M
    php_value max_execution_time 120

if this doesn't work would you be able to create a test account for
us to test with? You can email the details to mobile at automattic dot com

  3. Adding that information to my htaccess causes me to get the following error from the Wordpress for Android app:

HTTP status code: 500 was returned. Internal Server ErrorHTTP status code: 500 was returned. Internal Server Error

And it looks like I only have 30M of memory with my host. http://faq.1and1.com/scripting_languages_supported/php/13.html

  4. Hello!

I have the same issue. Tried everything but I think I've figured it out.

The option "upload and link to the full image" not working. When I've unchecked it the picture in the post started to work.

    Thank you!

  5. I don't think that option is available in the current version of Wordpress.
