Password protection on post doesn't go away

I happened to password protect my posting and published.
I then opened the post and removed the password (by pressing delete in the password field) and posted again. The password protection was still there.I solved it by copying the text to a new post to publish.
I guess I have stumbled upon a bug. Or am I doing something wrong?
It is version 2.0 btw.

Yup, that's a bug. We'll get it fixed up in 2.0.1.
