No Pages Found (right) but 'ghost' still shows

  1. I had a couple of pages on my WP (self-hosted) blog, but ended up deleting them both. I don't recall off the top of my head whether I removed both using the Android app or just one of them.

Anyway, the problem now is that the Pages tab still shows the last-to-be-deleted page as being present. Clicking on it returns an XMLRPC Fault 404 (not found), and when you click the Refresh it also says No Pages Found. These are both expected results since the page has been removed entirely.

Unfortunately, what doesn't happen is the 'ghost' record in the app won't go away, so it always looks like I have a page present.

  2. You're haunted! Is it in the trash on your blog still?

  3. Nope, just checked online. Also created a page and trashed it then emptied the trash before refreshing the Android app, and no change.

HOWEVER! ... (insert dramatic music effect here) ... After creating another test page and trashing it but NOT emptying the trash, then refreshing the Android App ... well, the good news is the original ghost went away. The bad news is the trash test page is now a ghost :) It showed up on the pages list in the app, I selected Delete, and it's gone entirely from the web interface but it's now the ghost in the machine :)

  4. Well, a lame way to fix it would be to clear the data out in the Android settings for the app. You'd have to enter your login details again though and you'd lose any local drafts.

  5. But that'd kill mah ghostie! Can't you just ... snoop him out onto the web where he can be free and happy? :)

On a serious note, I'll try that, don't have any local drafts and unless I post back here we'll assume it fixed it.

-edit- Uninstall worked, just clearing the cache from Manage Apps didn't and I was too tired/lazy to fire up the File Explorer and manually delete the stuff from the SD card :)

  6. Tim the Ghostbuster :)

I'll see if I can reproduce your issue and get it fixed in a future release.
