Edit Published Post from Different Timezone Changes Publish Date

When I edit a published post from a different timezone behind my blog's timezone, the post status goes from published to scheduled in the future. It seems like the publish date gets set to the local time of the android application when editing. This is frustrating as you can't set the publish time (just date) from the app. Also, it seems like the publish time shouldn't be affected when editing an already published post.
