Auto rotation fix

  1. Hello,

I have the following. I make a lot of pictures with my phone in portrait and when uploading them to wordpress using this app they are all displayed landscape.

I found a plugin to take care of this at http://tri.be but that only works when uploading pictures through the media uploader of wordpress via my site and not the android wordpress app.

Thet wrote a plugin which check what the rotation value is in the EXIF information and rotate the picture to it's correct position. For instance a portrait foto has Rotation 6 and the plugin then rotates it another 90 degrees to display it upright in a wordpress post instead of it being posted landscape.

Would it be possible to add this functionality to the android app?

  2. Some devices strip the EXIF entirely, which device are you using?

  3. Google Nexus S. And i compared the exif info from my phone pictures with my panansic digital camera and they are the same. They both mention rotation value 6 when a picture is taken in portrait.

I think it would be a good addition to an already cool app but as i am not a coder i would not know where to start implementing it. I hope you do :)
