I have both iPhone 4 and Android phones (HTC Desire with Android 2.2).

I have Wordpress apps on both connecting to my self hosted Wordpress (3.1.2).

I have Geolocation 1.1 installed.

Every post I make from the iPhone works - the location appears on the post.
On the Android phone, it shows the correct location whilst in the App, however after uploading the postto blog there is no location.

Is there something I am missing? It seems the blog is set up correctly as the iPhone uploads the location perfectly.

Hi guys,

I'm wanting to use the new post location feature in a plugin, and have been doing some testing with my android. When I try to edit a post, the location information is stuck on Loading... and clicking the 'View Map' or 'Update Location' buttons don't do anything. There's also no icon on the top bar that suggests that GPS is trying to get a signal.

Please advise,

Thanks

Anton

I have a very similar problem with my Samsung Galaxy Spica (Android 2.1).

When creating a new post, the app shows my location correctly. However, after uploading the post, a different location is shown. This is always the same location and it's a place I've been a week ago (when I didn't even have Wordpress installed yet.) After restarting my phone, no location is being shown at all once a post is created.

This is even more strange, it seems to be a two part issue.
It DOES show the location in the posts, but it shows the location that another app previously recorded.
For example, I was using google maps in another city earlier today. When I got home and made a post it said "null, null", and on the blog it showed, it used the address that I was using maps at previously. I loaded then up maps again and exited, and did a new post. This time it marked my current location.
So it seems really buggy.

(Sicne I don't know if this is related to the other post about geolocation, I'm creating a new post.)

I'm unable to get geolocation to work at all on my Nexus One 2.2. I'm uncertain in which ways the app should be able to get location, but these are my results:

1. Both Network and GPS-positioning enabled: When under clear sky (and other apps are able to get a fix) the GPS-icon flashes a couple of times and then it just says "null, null" as location.
2. Only network-position enabled: It just says "Loading..." for a minute and then "null, null" again. Shouldn't it be possible to get location indoors from the network like other applications do? If this is the case, shouldn't there be a error message telling you that you have to enable GPS for the app to work?
3. Only GPS-position enabled: Same as point 1.

My location contains some åäö-characters, could that be the problem?

Thanks in advance!
