I have found on this forum the workaround for uploading images to the gallery : insert images in a draft and save the draft.

But I have not found how to insert existing image from WordPress gallery into a post. Is this possible ?

Experienced: When I create a post using the android app (2.2.7) using the Quick Image button, no thumbnail is created. If you look at ​http://jodeefrazier.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/ you will see that thumbnails have been created in the past, even on the same day; however, many of the uploads did not have a thumb generated. I am aware of a change that was made in 2.6 to add "featured image" functionality. When i try to implement those features with my content, the image fails to upload (that will be another bug). Not having a thumbnail image for the images i am uploading impacts various functionality within wordpress including the media library, adding a featured image to the post from within the web-based editor, etc.

Expected: A thumbnail should be created when a new image taken by the camera is uploaded via the Android application.

Uploads were attempted over WiFi and over cellular signal. Application was also uninstalled and re-installed. When image upload was attempted using the web interface media library and web interface post, thumbnails were created.

It would appear this only happens when the "Take a New Photo" action is used. It does not happen when a post is created from an existing image on the device. This happens 100% of the time.

However, the ordering appears to be somewhat random. It would make more sense to me that they defaulted to ordering by date taken (I realise there are bugs already logged against wordpress for ordering for the gallery, using upload date rather than Exif, but this is different), or give some option for how to order them.

Re-ordering images is laborious, and adding them one image at a time is tedious.

I uploaded photos and inserted captions with it. When viewed on a PC, the white borders around the picture was misaligned e.g. the white border is cut off on the left side of the image, while the right side remains fine.

Any idea on how to solve this issue?

I've repeated an identical test 8 times on the same blog. I create a post, add the same image, put it in the same category and post it from the app.

Sometimes this image attaches itself, sometimes not. I JUST don't GET it. I've been on this for hours, publishing/unpublishing plugins (etc). BUT, this test I performed repeatedly, making NO CHANGES to the wp system.

Yes, It's working for me since the last updates made to the android client. just give them a couple of more updates and it's surely messed up again. ;-)

1. I have a low resolution setting on my camera (1.2 mp) to prevent upload problems. When I hit the "Quick photo" button, this setting is ignored and the camera opens with its max setting (5 mp). Not good.

2. So now I start from my camera, take a photo and hit "share" , select Wordpress and write a post-title and then tap the photo for settings. There is a thumbnail size slider that works not very good. It is hard to selct i.e. 150 px. I would prefer tapping in a number and have the APP remember that number, which it does not now for me.

I'm using wordpress 1.5.1 on a Galaxy s2 which is running v2.3.4 of Android (which I'm sure has a whizzy name). I have a wordpress.com blog (bsouth.wordpress.com)

I'm sure this is really obvious but I haven't been able to work it out. How can I change the image quality of pictures I'm posting? They only seem to post in quite low quality.

I've started making the page, customizing the PHP and css. But I've realized that I cannot link the image to the single page because its being included in the content. So unless I want to make all text click-able, I cannot specifically link the image alone.

I've my own installation of wordpress, and when I try to upload images (5mpix) via the android wordpress application it says "an error occurred when uploading media". It works fine when I upload the same image from the web interface, but not from the application. Even tried 16 mpix images via web without breaking sweat.

Something must be very wrong with the mobile feature "upload and link to full size image" since it works fine to upload images when you turn that feature off.

I used the 360Camera App.

Funny thing.. I tried again with the default Camera App and it uploaded correctly.

And if I use surf my photo gallery (taken with the 360Camera App) it shows all images in the correct position :S

When I upload a vertical image and my settings are:

1) Maxium Thumbnail pixel width: 700
2) Align thumbnail to center
3) Load and link the original image

The thumbnail goes horizontal, exactly at 700px
