Hey, I see you ranked the feature as "minor." No wonder no one paid any attention to it. For me, this isn't a minor issue. It deserves higher priority.

On Feb. 11th you created a tkt for this & there've been two upgrades since then & the damn app still loses your comments if they fail to upload. I guess someone doesn't think this is a big enough problem to fix it. Too bad.

Until we have a fix in the app for this, one option would be to copy the reply text before you send the reply in. You just long press and select 'Copy All'.

Ah, I see. That would be great to add support for this issue as it happens fairly regularly. It would save a lot of aggravation since my coments tend to be long & if I lose it I have to recreate it fr. memory...a drag.

Here's the error msg. I get when publishing fails:

"Connection Error
Java.net.
UnknownHostException
http://www.richardsilvertein.com"

I think it's either the Verizon server or my own server failing.

No, it doesn't save comment replies locally, but we'll add support for taking you back to the edit screen with the comment if the connection fails.

So when this happens, are you editing a post that already exists on your blog? I think that the app might not make a backup in that case. I think that it could though with some R&D.

If you are uploading a new post and the upload fails, you will find the post in the 'Local Drafts' section at the top of the Posts tab.

If I get the error msg. & the upload fails where would the draft of the msg be saved to locally? Or should it remain on the screen if the uploading fails?

It doesn't happen every time. I would say about 10-15% of the time & mostly when I have only one bar of reception. I think what's happening is that the upload is failing because of a connectivity issue. But I don't find it saved locally unless there's somewhere it's stored that I just can't find.

Yes, I will be sure to copy down the error msg next time & post it to you here.

Thanks for your concern.

That does sound like a big problem. I do know that your request is how the app should function. When you start uploading a post, it saves it locally and then starts the upload. Once the post has been uploaded successfully, only then does the app delete the draft.

A few questions:

1) Does this happen every time you upload?
2) Any chance you can write down the exact error message?

Thanks for the feedback

I have a major complaint about the WP Mobile software. Very often after I've spent 20 mins or so writing a post or a comment I hit "Send" or "Publish" & then get an error message saying something like "Java connection lost." The entire project I created is gone, evaporating into thin air. This often happens despite the fact that I'm working in 3G mode & have at least one bar indicating reception.

Why isn't there some way to save the comment or post on the phone's internal drive until it's definitively posted to the server. That way, if publishing fails you still retain it in your Droid.

Could you pls. consider a feature that will save a draft of whatever you're writing until it's been published.
