This app has some inexplicable behaviors which are maddening & totally illogical & counter intuitive. For example, if you write a post and try to save it to drafts or publish it & the upload fails, the app, as it should, saves the text you wrote. But if you do the same with a comment and the upload fails it doesn't save the text and the comment disappears. So why would anyone use this app to publish comments? You wouldn't & shouldn't.

If the app can save a post & not lose it if the upload fails how difficult would it be to do the same for comments that fail to publish?

Also, I just attempted to publish a post I’d written using the app. I was in 3G mode with three full bars & the upload failed twice (even in Draft). Then I tried switching to WiFi connection to see if a stronger connection would allow the upload to work. At that point I got a message saying an app was trying to share media files I have no idea why this happened), the entire Droid shut itself down, & when I turned it back on & went back into the WP app, the entire post I’d been writing went up in smoke.

I don’t understand why you can’t have an autosave feature that saves all posts, comments, etc. on the Droid's hard drive until they’re successfully uploaded. That way, if anything like either of these failures happened no data would be wiped out.

I rated the app 1 star & noted in my review the weaknesses of this app. Needs massive improvement.

GO to the "general settings" page in the custom wordpress installation and fill in the field "WordPress address (URL)" with the URL to the blog (in my case, http://frontended.com)

Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble connecting to a self-hosted blog with Wordpress for Android. This has happened for at least the past 3 updates to the application, and I have never been able to connect.

The error occurs after I setup the application, then click on the link to the application. This is the error:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Target host must not be null, or set in parameters.

As far as I can tell, I've entered the target host correctly in the "Blog URL" field ( tried frontended.com & http://frontended.com).

Any idea what could be going on?
