I did indeed mistype my password once or twice (typing on a phone without seeing what), but once I was in the app kept hanging whatever I did. I couldn't even get to the subsite's dashboards or posts. I thought maybe the app kept trying to connect using wp-login? If not, I can't explain why wp-login would be requested so often. Perhaps two failed logins, but that wouldn't be "hammering" on my host's server, right?

I'm on holidays now, so I might try it again here. When this IP gets banned, that will be less inconvenient :-)

Thank you for responding, Dan. I am running WordPress on a webpage through ipage. There are plugins on my site. If I have to disable them maybe I just can't use WordPress on my tablet.

The app uses wp-login here and there for features like 'View Site' and 'View Admin' I suppose if the credentials were incorrect a host might think it was being attacked. Even so if you tap 'View Site' the app is only going to make one request to wp-login.

Are you running any plugins that might be interfering with login? Might try disabling a few of them.

I'm trying to connect a self-hosted blog to WP app, I connected it fine on Nexus 7 but on Nexus 4 I get this- java.lang.IllegalStateException: Target host must not be null, or set in parameters. scheme=null, host=null, path=xmlrpc.php. I've spoken to the guy at primaryblogger.co.uk and he can login/connect on his iphone no problem.

Hi!
I'm having the following problem:
Wordpress App on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus loads title to blog correctly, but not the content -- it takes the content of another blog post already on the server and the new content that I entered in the app doesn't show anywhere....

Please help. Using latest version of app and Android also.

I just installed the android app from the Play Store. When I try to login it says there is no blog for my account. It does not open my account. No problem if I log on from my computer.
Any suggestions?

I just heard back from my host. The IP is unblockedd. The reason it got blocked is that the wp-login file had been hammered. Good security, but not so handy because it was myself. Why would the app keep going via wp-login? Because I tried to use it on a network?

There are a few things with this app if you ask me.

First, it only asks to log in once, so if somebody's got my phone, (s)he also has my websites. I would prefer the app to log out (optionally) after working with it. This is the main reason I didn't use it. Yesterday I thought I had a sollution: another app that locks apps.

So I installed the plugin again, but it didn't do much. I could see the websites of my network, but not view posts, dashboards or anything. One time I succeeded to see comments, but that was it. For the rest the app didn't seem to do anything.

Today I found out that my host banned my IP from the server that my websites are on because of an unusual amount of FTP requests. The only thing I can think of that happened is that this app kept trying to connect, but failed. In any case, I've been locked out not only from the backend, but even from accessing any website (like that of my girlfriend) on the same server. This will surely be fixed, but what could have caused it?

I have used the app before with no problems. Does the new version have a stricter XMLRPC policy perhaps? It could well be that I haven't enabled that and that this is the reason the app kept trying to connect (a 'failed' message would have been better).

To close off. I don't believe that this app has the function of deleting spam? That is actually what I want to the app for mostly.

Hi, My posts containing accentuated characters ( à , é ,è ... ) are not saved properly on my self hosted blog.
The characters are not rendered or the messages is truncated.
My encoding on the blog is set to "UTF-8" and the MySql database behind it is also set to use "utf8-general-ci".

Everything works fine from the web interface of the blog but doesn't work from the android client (tried on Android 4.1.2 and Android 4.2.2).

Hi,
I have just set up an RSS feed on a site I am working on: http://www.air-8.com/feed/. The feed views fine on Firefox, Chrome, etc, but when viewed on Android the page is full of html. Having just checked another site I work with that feed is also corrupted with html.

Does Wordpress, or do my sites only, require tweaking in the header for the feed to function on Android?

Can you try disabling any plugins to see if they are interfering? It might help to switch to the default theme as well just to see if your current theme is interfering as well.

Hey All,
So I'm Trying to post images from my Galaxy S3. I've been able to post but the images don't show up, they up as Code. here's a link of what it looks like once it publishes any images.

I've tried everything on the 3.5.1 troubleshooting link. No Fix....

well I just tried to reinstall the app on my phone. same issue....

Yeah, we've had a ticket for that feature for a while now but other stuff has gotten in the way. We also want to add an 'auto-upload' feature that will upload new pics you snap to your media library behind the scenes kind of like the G+ app does.

Thanks for the response. Yes adding a draft is the work-around that I've used, and thanks for the tip on the default size. A great feature request would be a method to do bulk uploads to the library for those of us that take lots of photos and use WP for a gallery.

No, there's no direct way at this time.. You can just upload the post as a draft and then immediately delete it after it completes though.

Thanks, that partially fixes the problem. There is still no way (that I can find) to upload multiple images/videos to the media library. The only way seems to be directly to a post.

You're looking for Settings->Blog Settings->Default Image Width->Original Size. It will override the individual width settings when set.
